Foundresses Week
This week I was not able to participate in any Foundress week created activities/events due to my demanding and busy sports class schedule but, after the readings I had for sure learned quite a lot about the fundraises of NDNU and the two women who started everything.
The first person I learned about was Francoise. She was pretty wealthy and in a family that was not poor compared to Julie. She didn't let money affect her political views or make her feel that she stands above everyone else. She went to a boarding school but found herself in Religion.
The next person is Julie Billiart, and she was the opposite from Francoise due to her economic class status and her upbringings. She tried to help those who were very poor. She had only religious teachings and was later disabled but, she didn't let that stop her passion to help others. Others visited her and she still helped to the best of her ability.
